Professor Roberto Ferrari is an Emeritus Professor in Cardiology at the University of Ferrara. He is the Founder and Board Member of European Heart for Children. He was the President of the European Society of Cardiology (2008-2010). His research interests are characterization of molecular mechanisms of ischemic and failing myocardium, clinical treatment of myocardial ischemia, heart failure and prevention. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the European Heart Journal – the Heart of the Matter.
